Wild Journeys was born out of a passionate belief that now, more than ever, we need both adventure and space for reflection in our lives.
We provide a range of both bespoke and off the shelf outdoor experiences. Journeys can be tailored for both individuals and groups. They can be as short as one day or as long as 21 days. Longer journeys take place on the Island of Mull and shorter journeys can be anywhere we can find ‘wild’. And you’d be surprised where we can find wild!
We’re interested in exploring the relationship between human beings and the natural environment. Our view is that this relationship, and in fact the break down of this relationship, is key to where we find ourselves as a society.
Our mission is to re-kindle that relationship.
We do that by building experiences in wild places that explore how relationship with wild impacts us as individuals and as groups. This might mean looking at how nature impacts creativity, how space in nature can provide us with what we need for reflection. or it might mean how disconnect from nature impacts housing policy.
We are open to, and fascinated by, the conversation.
We believe that being outside amongst nature and away from the strains of everyday life is not only valuable but vital. And we believe that physical activity and common task can help us come into the space of the present moment.
Some of our courses are open enrolment and some are custom made for particular groups of people.
We have a core of key collaborators and we bring in other collaborators when we need them.
Wild Journeys is founded on the principle of ‘not for profit’. Experience over the years has led us to believe that providing the very best in outdoor experiences isn’t conducive with making a profit.
