NEXT MULL CLASSIC: TO BE CONFIRMED
A 4 Day Wild Journey
Are you ready for four days of life giving, refreshing, re – energising, wildness? The Mull Classic is for anyone who wants to explore change in their life or who simply needs a strong dose of adventure.
Walk some of Scotland’s most stunning coastline. Sail aboard the iconic Birthe Marie around the southern tip of Mull and through the Inner Hebrides. Eat fresh local food cooked on open fires on golden beaches. Enjoy great company and great conversation. For four days, stop, breath and take some time to top up on life.
Travel two and a half hours north west of Glasgow and you’ll reach the busy ferry port of Oban. By road you’ll wind your way up Loch Lomond side, by train you’ll enjoy one of Scotland’s classic railway journeys. Either way you will begin to find yourself slowing down.
Departing Oban on the MV Isle of Mull you’ll be forced to stop completely and enjoy the 45-minute crossing, sliding past the islands of Kerrera and Lismore, and with stunning views of the coast of Mull and back to the mainland.
Arriving on Mull you’ll find yourself aware that you’re now in ‘a place apart’. The pace is slower, the roads force you to stop and let each other pass.
From there we’ll guide you through the island both in terms of its landscape and the experiences it has to offer. You’ll find yourself very quickly immersed in land that doesn’t pay much attention to time or to opinion. Land that has a story to tell if you’re willing to listen.
The Mull Classic offers four days of intimate involvement with this ‘place apart’. Four days of being in a different space, living at a different pace. Four days of delving deep into what drives our passions, what feeds our creativity, what lies at the heart of our essence. We’ll explore in what ways the story that the land has to tell shapes our own stories.
Working with weather and light we’ll travel through some of Scotland’s most beautiful coastal scenery. It will be challenging, but in a way that takes account of both the group and the individuals. It will be invigorating – you’ll come away with some part of you either changed or deeply refreshed. And we will provide the best of company, great local food and safe passage. Whilst we can’t guarantee wildlife, Mull has some of the best Scotland has to offer. Golden eagles, dolphins, whales and otters are all resident.
We don’t tend to talk too much about what happens on our journeys, on a day-to-day level. Partly because their very nature means that things can change, but also because we want the people who come to be very much in the moment.
We believe this leads to the best possible experience. Our job is to guide you in a way that is both safe and enjoyable, and which will allow you to get the most out of your experience.
The main thing that resonates with me when looking back at my time with Wild Journeys is the strong sense of self that I found during the weekend. I felt like I was listening to my own voice for the first time in a long time…
